The Mesola bunkers come back to life. For 50 years they remained hidden within the Pineta del Fondo, until April 26th, 2015, the date of the inauguration of a new redevelopment project.
From now on, these bunkers, reinforced concrete structures designed toward the end of World War II to defend against enemy attacks, will be part of a guided route that allows visitors to immerse themselves in history through panels, plaques and other installations that accompany them in discovering these constructions hidden in the pine forest.
goNet handled all the equipment installed inside the bunkers. The technical challenges of setting up the installations were significant, which led to the creation of the Bunker Kit: a mobile installation device specifically designed for the site’s harsh conditions (lack of electricity and high humidity). It enables the projection of multimedia content developed through extensive historical and iconographic research, telling the story of the bunkers without damaging the environment or the atmosphere of the site.
Following the same principles, Bunker Faretto units were created, autonomous, rechargeable lighting devices for illuminating the bunkers along visitor routes. These units are easy to transport and can be fixed to the metal ceilings using magnetic mounts.
The interior equipment references World War II, with faux rust and metal structures that integrate perfectly with the architectural framework of concrete and steel of the bunkers.
