Betti Macchine has been building packaging machines in Faenza, in the province of Ravenna, since 1955. Cartoning machines, filling machines, bag in box systems: these are the machines that fill and seal the cartons and jars of the products we find every day on the shelves, from pasta to chocolate, from salt to detergents. Founded by Aurelio Betti and now in its third generation, the company is one of those realities the general public does not know but through which an enormous part of what it buys passes. Recounting over sixty years of niche engineering in a website, before an international and demanding clientele, is the real challenge of the project.
The site is built with RediGo, the proprietary CMS that goNet develops in-house, shaping it each time around the needs of the project instead of adapting the project to a ready-made theme. For a technical catalogue like this it means full control over the structure and the freedom to update products, solutions and news autonomously. The site is trilingual, Italian, English and French, because Betti machines work all over the world and the first contact with a foreign client often passes through here.
The design is industrial and direct, built on large images of the machines in the foreground. The home page presents the five families around which the offering revolves, cartoning machines, bag in box, filling machines, combined solutions and packaging lines, each with its own in-depth page. The professional client who arrives here already knows what they are looking for, and the site respects that: no frills, sharp images and quick access to technical information.
The value the site places at the centre is flexibility that becomes integration, Betti's real strength. The machines are modular and built around the consolidated technology of volumetric dosers, and they can integrate several feeding systems on a single machine to handle different products while reducing footprint and costs. Giving weight to all this is the showcase of clients, a string of international brands, from Lindt to De Cecco, from Henkel to AkzoNobel, which recounts the company's reliability better than any words.
A chapter of its own is assistance. With "Pronto Betti" the company is operative without interruption: a spare parts warehouse that is always stocked, shipments normally processed within twenty-four hours and technicians ready to intervene in every part of the world, even during the holidays. For those who buy a machine that has to run without stopping, knowing that behind it there is a service like this is often as decisive as the machine itself, and the site communicates it with the clarity it deserves.
Sustainability also has its space: a section recounts the company's environmental commitment and a counter shows in real time the CO2 emissions avoided and the equivalent trees planted. It is the mark of a historic company that looks to the future without forgetting where it comes from. The result is a site as sober and reliable as the machines it presents, worthy of a Faenza company that for three generations has been packaging, quietly, a good part of the world.
