A hundred doors to open, a system to build from scratch

ApritiModa is the event conceived by the journalist Cinzia Sasso that every year, for one weekend in October, opens to the general public the doors of ateliers, workshops, manufactures and factories of Made in Italy: from Armani to Zegna, from the great maisons to the small artisan workshops distributed in every region of Italy. Over the years it has become one of the most eagerly awaited cultural appointments of the Italian autumn. The site, available in Italian and English, is developed and managed with RediGo, goNet's proprietary CMS, written entirely by hand in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with native management of responsive design on any device.

The real challenge of this project was not the design, but the infrastructure. The events catalogue, which counts around a hundred locations distributed across forty Italian provinces, is navigable and filterable by city, by category (Workshop/Atelier, Manufacture, Fashion, Museum, Leather goods, Itinerary, Perfumes) and by date, with seat availability updated in real time. Each location has its own page with address, description and bookable time slots, with a priority system for the limited-availability slots that requires a completely non-standard registration management logic, developed from scratch.

The booking system is built entirely from scratch and integrates a personal dashboard accessible through OTP authentication via email, without the need to register a password. Once authenticated, the user can browse the catalogue, book for themselves and for other companions, choose the preferred time slot and manage the list of their own bookings autonomously. It is a complete and secure flow, designed to be as transparent as possible for those who use it, hiding all the complexity that lies behind it.

The site also hosts the editorial section "Le storie e i protagonisti", with articles dedicated to the participating realities, an archive of past editions, a press area, an FAQ section and newsletter subscription. These are contents that build narrative continuity from one edition to the next, keeping the public's interest alive even in the months when the doors are closed.

The data architecture is designed to hold up over time: new events, locations and contents are added edition after edition without touching the general structure. A project that renews itself every year while remaining recognisable, exactly like the event it recounts.
