Brunner is a benchmark company in the camping and outdoor sector, and its Melamineware Collection counts eleven series: Dolomit, Odette, Tuscany, Granada, Savana, Bellagio, Venetian, Pearl, Meteore, Amadè and others. Presenting such a varied catalogue in a static way meant not doing it justice: each series has a precise character, a recognisable look, and the choice of how to set one's own table is a visual decision that a pdf or an image gallery cannot really support. From this need Mise en Place was born, an interactive configurator developed entirely by goNet with RediGo, the proprietary CMS written by hand in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The tool was initially conceived as a demonstrative experience for the trade fair, and subsequently redesigned as a standalone application integrated directly into Brunner's site, in Italian, English and German.
The configurator offers two paths: choosing one of the ready-made kits of the Melamineware Collection, or freely customising each individual element, plates, glasses and accessories, composing one's own combination from scratch. In both cases, the interface is built around an animated table that updates in real time as the selections change, with fluid transitions and a visual rendering curated in detail. Each combination faithfully reflects the real products of the catalogue: it is not a generic simulation, it is Brunner's collection coming to life on the screen. Every animation, every selection logic and every behaviour of the interface was built from scratch for this context, tailored to the brand's identity.
The transition from the trade fair version to the web one required a redesign of the experience to adapt to different devices and resolutions: layouts and interactions optimised for desktop, tablet and smartphone, maintaining the same visual quality and the same fluidity in every context. This adaptability is made possible by the structure of RediGo, which does not impose the constraints of ready-made frameworks or libraries and can be calibrated with millimetric precision to the needs of each deployment.
The architecture of the configurator is built to grow together with the catalogue: new series, new products and new kits are added without touching the base structure, with full flexibility both on the visual and on the functional level. Mise en Place transforms the presentation of a catalogue into an engaging experience, which accompanies the client from the first curiosity to the concrete choice.
