Bedani S.p.A. has been processing cured hams for more than forty years in San Carlo, in the province of Ferrara. The company specializes in deboning, cutting, slicing and packaging Parma Ham, produced from a controlled supply chain, while the aging process takes place in Bazzano, in the Parma area. The company’s claim already says everything about its identity: a business that puts the product before the brand. Translating this philosophy into a website required a clear direction, no frills and no effects louder than the ham itself. The product always takes center stage.
The website was built on RediGo, goNet’s proprietary platform, hand-coded in HTML, CSS and JavaScript without relying on third-party themes or frameworks. This was a choice well ahead of the standards of the food industry, where static showcase websites were still the norm: here the site is fully responsive, bilingual in Italian and English, with a structured product catalog and an editorial section dedicated to recipes. The staff can update products and content independently, without relying on external technical support.
The design follows a subtractive approach. Large, warm photographs, plenty of space for the product and clean typography create the aesthetic of a company that does not need to raise its voice to be recognized. The homepage opens with an image slider that tells the story of the raw materials and production process, guiding visitors toward the three areas that truly matter for Bedani: products, certifications and company identity. Consistent with the company’s mission, the interface never competes with what it showcases.
The catalog is organized with the logic of people who know the product inside out. Whole hams are divided into two product families, Washed and Knife-Cleaned, each available in whole, half and quarter formats, while the Sliced Products section gathers the options designed for large-scale retail distribution. Every product has its own dedicated page with a specific image: adding or updating a format does not require any intervention in the code, allowing the company itself to keep the catalog perfectly aligned with its actual product offering.
What sets the website apart from a simple B2B showcase is the section dedicated to recipes, an unusual editorial feature for a producer whose main market is large-scale retail distribution. Simple ideas such as fresh salad with cured ham or fusilli with peas and ham bring the product closer to the end consumer and give the website a storytelling dimension that goes beyond the technical product sheet. It is a way of reminding visitors that, behind the supply chain and certifications, there is above all something delicious to bring to the table.
The Company section builds the credibility required by both Italian and international large-scale retail channels: the history of the Bedani family, the two production facilities, the BRC and IFS certifications that guarantee international food safety standards, and the connection with Prosciuttificio Il Conte, which exports to the United States, Japan and Russia. The result is a modern tool, aligned with the markets Bedani serves, giving a company with a strong artisanal identity a digital presence capable of doing what it has always done best: putting the product before everything else.
